Challah

Made this bread with my daughter yesterday. It's delicious. Nice soft sweet crumb, thin crisp crust. I used the 4 braid recipe from King Arthur, although we did a 3 strand braid.

I let the Zoji do the work - 18 minutes of kneading, about 1:15 rise, then cut, braid and rise for almost an hour. Then 35 minutes in the oven. It was nice and brown after 30 minutes. Maybe next time I will take it out a little earlier and see if that makes the crumb even softer. I love it when challah is the texture of cotton candy.

Not complaining. This bread came out as perfect as I could have hoped for.

The bread puffed up like a balloon. There's plenty to freeze for later.

Just yum!
